Athletes Set to Arrive at YYC for 2024 Special Olympics Canada Winter Games Athlete Ambassadors, Games volunteers, cheer team, Stampede Promotions Committee, and Harry the Horse to welcome first arrivals into Calgary

CALGARY—Athletes, coaches and support staff from across Canada will begin to arrive at YYC on Sunday, February 25, for the Special Olympics Canada Winter Games Calgary 2024.

Athletes arriving on Sunday will receive a special Calgary welcome from the Games Organizing Committee’s Athlete Ambassadors, volunteers, a cheer team, Harry the Horse and the Calgary Stampede Promotions Committee who will greet the first flights arriving from the East Coast on the Arrivals Level between Security A and C. Athlete buses will be loaded at Door 3.

Who: Athletes/Coaches Representing Newfoundland, Nova Scotia and P.E.I. Special Olympics Canada Winter Games Calgary Athlete Ambassadors Presented by Pembina Games Organizing Committee/Officials

When: February 25, 2024 10:55 a.m. – Team Nova Scotia (WestJet WS229) – 69 Members 11 a.m. – Team Newfoundland (Air Canada AC133) – 67 Members 12:15 p.m. – Team P.E.I. (Air Canada AC137) – 54 Members

Where: Arrivals Level between Security A or C. Athlete buses will be loaded at Door 3 Calgary International Airport
