CALGARY—In just over one month’s time, more than 4,000 athletes, coaches, officials, and mission staff members, along with their families and friends, will gather in Calgary for the 2024 Special Olympics Canada Winter Games.
The Games will include 800 athletes from12 of Canada’s Provincial/Territorial Special Olympics Chapters who will unite at the Special Olympics Canada Winter Games in Calgary, February 27 – March 2. The athletes will compete in eight sports: alpine skiing; bowling; cross-country skiing; curling; figure skating; floor hockey; snowshoeing; and speed skating.
The Games communications team is now accepting media applications online at: Media Accreditation Application
All applications must be submitted by February 15 to ensure access to events including the Opening Ceremony and Closing Ceremony, and sporting competitions.
Media Note:All photographers will be required to wear a photo bib at each of the venues. Bibs will be received upon checking in with the volunteer media representative at each venue and must be returned by the completion
of the event each day.
